Chorley's Winter Wonderland to return

Winter Wonderland - ice rink penguins

Get ready for Chorley's Winter Wonderland, featuring a real ice rink and more, to return to the town centre.

This popular festive attraction, organised by Chorley Council, is set to open on Saturday 9 December to welcome thousands of people into the town over the festive period.

As well as a 60ft x 40ft real ice rink, the Winter Wonderland, sponsored by Market Walk, will also feature a Ferris wheel, children's rides such as the Alpine fun house, and festive tipis.

Deputy Leader of Chorley Council, Councillor Peter Wilson said "We're really looking forward to the Winter Wonderland being back in Chorley town centre. It's always really popular, whether ice skating with family or friends, or socialising in the tipis or children enjoying the fairground rides, there's something for everyone.

"This is just one of the things we're doing to attract people to Chorley to support our fabulous local traders and show what Chorley has to offer."

The ice rink will offer a variety of sessions; general skating sessions, Cub Club sessions for younger children and group bookings for schools and community groups who can book sessions in advance.
