Local Restrictions Support Grants

Apply for Local (or National) Restrictions Support Grants

Below is an application form for Local (or National) Restrictions Support Grants which you can use if you think your business is eligible for one of the Local or National Restrictions Support Grants listed:

  • businesses required to close due to Tier 3 local restrictions (17/19 October to 4 November 2020)
  • businesses required to close due to national restrictions (5 November to 2 December 2020)  
  • businesses who have not been required to close but have been severely impacted due to local restrictions (Tier 2/Tier 3)

Please note: if you have already made a previous application for a Local Restriction Support Grant using the form below and wish to apply for further Local Restrictions Support Grants (such as funding for Tier 3 (2 to 30 December 2020), Tier 4 (2 to 30 December 2020) or latest national lockdown restrictions (from 5 January 2021), you do not need to reapply, we will be in touch.  Your original application will provide us with information required to let you know about possible future funding.

Closed businesses - National Restrictions

This is for businesses that have been mandated to close by government from 5 November to 2 December and from 5 January 2021, including non-essential retail, leisure, personal care, sports facilities and hospitality businesses.

Businesses that have been required to close due to national restrictions imposed by government as of 5 January 2021 may be eligible for a one-off grant of up to £9,000 (Closed Businesses Lockdown Payment).

Closed businesses - Tier 4 restrictions

Lancashire went into Tier 4 restrictions on 31 December 2020.

Some information on the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) Addendum - Tier 4 is available on the government website.

We have sent emails to businesses (week commencing 11 January 2021) who we think may be eligible. 
 

Closed businesses - Tier 3 restrictions (Very High Level Alert)

Chorley was placed in Tier 3 on Saturday 17 October 2020, along with the rest of Lancashire. View local coronavirus alert level update for Lancashire and again on 2 December after National Restrictions ended. See information on Local Restriction Tiers

The business closures and dates are provided below:

  • Saturday 17 October 2020 - pubs and bars unless selling alcohol with substantial meals
  • Monday 19 October 2020 - Licensed clubs, adult gaming centres, bingo halls, casinos, bookmakers and betting shops, children's soft play centres and car boot sales.
  • Wednesday 2 December 2020 - Information on business closures can be found on the government website for Tier 3 (very high alert level) restrictions

 

Open businesses - severely impacted by Tier 2 and Tier 3 restrictions

Chorley was placed in Tier 2 on Thursday 24 September 2020 and Tier 3 on Saturday 17 or 19 October 2020, then again on 2 December, along with the rest of Lancashire. This support is aimed at businesses that have not had to close but which have been severely impacted due to local restrictions (Local COVID alert levels: High or Very High).

This is a discretionary fund and the government expects the funding to be targeted at hospitality, hotel, bed and breakfast and leisure businesses, which we will be prioritising with this fund. View information on the business types this fund may include.
