Self-build and custom-build homes

We are required to research demand for self build plots in the area and from 1 April 2016 the Self-build and Custom Housebuilding Act 2015 obliges us to maintain a list of people and groups interested in building their own homes.

Central Lancashire Local Plan

A new Local Plan for the three Authorities of Chorley, Preston and South Ribble is being prepared to cover the period to 2038.

The Council implemented a Registered Provider (RP) Partnership Framework on 1st April 2022 which applies to all planning applications requiring affordable housing provision.

Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is a way of creating and improving the state of nature and habitats through planning and development. BNG makes sure new developments have a measurably positive impact ('net gain') on biodiversity, compared to what was there before development.
