Report a change that may affect your Council Tax

If your circumstances change, the amount of Council Tax you pay might change.

You need to tell us of any changes within 21 days.

If you receive Council Tax support or housing benefit, you also need to let us know if your details have changed.

Examples of changes that may affect your Council Tax

You need to tell us if:

• you are moving house
• you are no longer the only person over 18 in the property and you need to stop claiming 25% single person discount. You will need to amend single person Council Tax discount
• you change your name
• If you are a single parent in receipt of single person discount and one of your children reaches 18 years old. You will need to amend single person Council Tax discount. View more information if your child is a student
• you are no longer entitled to a discount disregard, exemption or relief
