Pavement licensing

The Business and Planning Act 2020 introduced a streamlined way to authorise furniture being placed on the highway. A pavement licence can only be granted on a highway which is maintainable at public expense (an adopted highway). 

To apply, download and complete the Application for a Pavement Licence (Word doc) [71KB] and email it to licensing@chorley.gov.uk along with all of the required documents.
