A new Local Plan for the three Authorities of Chorley, Preston and South Ribble is being prepared to cover the period to 2038.

It will provide a robust strategy to attract new investment whilst continuing to protect the unique characteristics of the area, to deliver sustainable development.

The joint Local Development Scheme (LDS) (PDF) [237KB] identifies new and revised planning policy that the councils are preparing to form the new Local Plan. The document sets out the timetable for implementation of the Central Lancashire Local Plan. The LDS is regularly reviewed, with the latest version covering the period between 2020 and 2023.
