Community safety
Chorley and South Ribble Borough Council are a combined Community Safety Partnership (CSP).
Partner agencies work across both areas which prevents unnecessary duplication. The councils sit side by side within Lancashire and have similar local profiles. Both councils working together allows for effective communication, sharing of skills, knowledge and opportunities.
Chorley and South Ribble CSP is responsible for working together to reduce crime and disorder, reduce reoffending and combat substance misuse. The CSP is made up of 6 responsible authorities.

- Clinical Commissioning Group
In 2019 the CSP implemented a new set of 3 year priorities. The priorities focus on the following areas:
- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Serious and Organised Crime
- Vulnerabilities
The partnership recognise that a long-term commitment is needed to tackle the key priority areas. However, resources will be diverted depending of emerging themes and trends. The CSP are responsible for local delivery against the above priorities which will be reviewed annually.
Speeding
If you have concerns in relation to speeding within Chorley, this can be referred to Lancashire Speed Management Group who look into specific areas of concern tht are raised. Members of the public are able to report areas of concern.
